One to ones

I offer one-to-one sessions on request. These are hour-long sessions on zoom where we can chat through a particular topic and I can be a sounding board, share advice and help you plan. One-to-ones are £100 and I offer sessions on developing projects, thinking about next steps for your organisation, understanding the charity registration process, evaluation and other similar topics. Contact me if you'd like to book something in.

3 things I'm really stubborn about (a.k.a. my values)

This is what you can expect if you work with me.

1. I won’t take your money if I can’t help you
I will always say if I’m not the right person to work with you. I am exceptional at some things (making useful plans for busy organisations) and bad at others (schmoozing rich people for money). I will also say the difficult things if needed e.g. “I don’t think this project is ready for a funding application” or “setting up a charity right now isn’t going to be the best move”. Even if that means you then don’t pay me to do the work.

2. I want you to be yourself when you work with me
“Professional” is a sexist, racist, classist concept. When we work together I want you to feel comfortable being yourself, asking all the questions you want and working in the best way for you. Tell me what you need and we can do it without a fuss. You might need to bring someone to support you or note-take for a one-to-one session. You might need to feed a baby while we chat, or to change your name or pronouns on the info I have for you. It’s all good. Let’s do it.

3. The point is to make the world better
I have chosen to work with small organisations because they’re usually the ones making real change, not just talking about it. I work with organisations that are led by- or shout alongside- people whose voices don’t get heard enough. I do things differently and provide the support that isn’t there or usually costs too much for the people who actually need it.

I’m honest about the inequality that exists in funding and the charity sector and we’ll work out ways to cheat, break or remake the system so it works for you. (and if you want a 3 hour rant about why the standard governance model for charities needs to go in the bin, you know where I am.)

Also, the world is on fire. Cruise ships and oil companies exist, but if we’re not trying then what is the point? I’ve got an action plan (which I’ll share) and Christina Poulton Creative will be net zero by 2026.
